Pride n Prejudice

What an event so far the Beijing’s Olympics has been to us the INDIANS. A long and impatient wait for 56 years now, to replace the Bronze with glittering Gold. It’s a shame to know our 1st independent gold medalist died fighting for his pension on the other hand thanks to 24/7 media which has made the new national heroes storm into crorepati list already.
If questioned how many medals India would win, my heart would answer 1 more than the hosts but my mind pointing to India’s great contribution for the Mathematics. However, the fact lying between and my sole satisfaction about the fact is that our eternal rivals, the Paki’s, have drawn a big blank. I’ve been contemplating most of the times & keep on wondering what is it with our athletes.!?! When Chinese can train a 6-year-old gymnasts to do 100 sit-ups, In India child rights activists would have filed a petition complaining of child abuse.
And yet, for the 1st time there is a genuine belief that India’s next Olympic gold wont take so long and undoubtedly there are many more Kumars and Sainas waiting to be discovered.

P.S: Why not Bollywood big shots do something about this? With context to IPL.
